I got the word from Bergersen boats that the Sapele they were milling for me was ready. They also had the 3 sheets of Meranti plywood that I would need. Yesterday I found a lumber yard up in Madison that could supply me with the hard-to-find Sitka Spruce! Finally! Much of the lumber was in 16′ lengths so I decided to rent a 6′ x 12′ trailer and tackle both pick-ups in the same day. Success! I now have just about everything I need to make some real progress on the construction. Once I get all of the cedar strip milling completed (about 5 more hours) I’ll be ready to go. Hopefully I’ll have some more updates for you soon.
